The combined organic layers were washed with I hO (2 100 m l .). 1 % ammonia water (2 x 100 niL), brine ( 100 ml), dried over anhydrous Na2SOi. and concentrated in vacuo to give 63 g brown oil as crude product. The crude product was purified by running it through a short silica plug eluting with 5% ether / hexane to give 54.2 g of the title compound as a yellow solid.
